Product Description
You will be absolutely combat ready with the Combat Commander Saber Sword in your hands. The saber has been a tried and tested battle weapon for more than 1,000 years. The full-tang, 30" sharp blade is of 1065 carbon steel and has a black hard coating finish. The handle is fiber filled ABS with a soft textured TPR covering and is as tough as they get! A nylon sheath with a protective PVC liner lets you house it with ease. It is 36" in overall length.
Not unlike an 'AK of swords;' simply, reliably and durably made and even quite beautiful.
No distal taper on the hidden-tang blade yet the modern handle materials leave the sword just as light as any other saber, basically a heavy cavalry saber somehow at the weight of a normal one.
I'm very happy with the purchase, certainly a battle-ready sword I feel.

Bad ass...
This beauty goes well with my Civil War wall... plus is very well balanced and strikes well! You will need to sharpen a bit or maybe it just wasn't sharp enough to my liking perhaps? But definitely a solid nice buy and the engraving was a sick touch!

Re-review after some time of ownership
I'm back to give a rave review. Of course, the sword is an inexpensive beater, but still today it is my go to for entertainment backyard cutting. I have a variety of much higher quality, higher priced swords, but a very expensive sword will bend when you hit something really hard at a bad angle, and a very expensive sword needs resharpening after a while. This sword gives me the incredible opportunity of heavy abuse, and continued use, without all of the worry about the expense. Most importantly, no matter what material I want to cut, if a sword will cut it, this sword will cut it. (not all swords can say that, especially not below 250$ shipped). If I want a cutting session that will work for sure, but I want to be careless and rough, I can take this sword out, have all the fun I want, it won't degrade the condition, it won't break, and critically, it won't fail to cut where swords that cost for appearance will. ( I mean swords marketed as real weapons and costing 3-4 times this ones price will fail cuts and this one will not). Overall, and after plenty of time with it, this sword is a clear go-to.

damn. this was like my best sword experience
Backstory for context: I am using it for backyard bottle-chopping. But for that,, I don't know if you can get a better one handed sword. It is superbly sharp. It is light enough to use comfortably, and despite the price it is durable enough that it's durability will never be a concern for the life of such a hobby. Actually, I am certain this tool, if cared for, could be passed down. At the price, you can have a saber you don't mind abusing, that is as sharp as any bottle could ever require, and you will set to the task of leaving bottle after bottle cut but still standing. No, I can't say about it's use in a fencing situation, and I probably think it's thin for wood cutting, but for appropriate sword use, that would be recommended for any sword, it will be a top performer. Uh,, it would cut you right in half if used be a skilled swordsman.

Good sword
Came sharp out of the box. A good cleaning was needed. Light weight for a saber. With some skill it's a solid weapon.

Great sword
I just got this today, and it looks and feels great, I had to sharpen it a lot better, but was able to get, I do not like the way the sheath is setup but I will have to figure out where to get a better one, or make one myself. Other then that, It is a great sword, I would be able to use it when the lefties, try to attack.

It is a good blade
The design is stealthy and a cavalry style saber. This is not nearly as heavy as traditional cavalry sabers, and is light but formidable. It has characteristics of a katana/ninja tool, and I'm happy to recieve it in great shape. The chiseled point is an awesome idea. I think it is good value, and would recommend it without a doubt. Not mean't to wave around as a foot soldier sword because sabers like this would be used by mounted cavalry. The reach would ensure your safety while defending yourself from being eaten by cannibals or zombie infected walking dead. Recommended!

Very Functional
The Saber or whatever you want to call it (BFF, Long a** machete ) it does the job. Living in high mountain country you need REAL equipment that can dish out hard brute strength & survive. This is NO TOY.

Cool
This is an awesome saber. Not razor sharp but sharp enough. It's just too long for me. If the blade was six inches shorter, or if I was six inches taller, it'd be perfect for me. Super cool sword none the less.

B+
Well I just opened my CC saber and i am generally pleased! It's weight is negligible: all reviews that say it's super heavy are false or written by guys with no muscles. This sword is light weight & easy to wield. However, the blade had a slight warp (poor quenching, likely) and there are hammer/mallet marks where someone tried to fix the issue. Its very superficial though, and not a deal breaker considering the low price tag. This is a good sword!

fantastic
As they say on the Forge, it will cut. Sliced a water filled gallon jug in two slicker than a whistle. The blade has give so breaking is unlikely. Grip is great. Over all balance is near perfect. This is one great saber. I'd recommend it to anyone, it performs as well or better than more expensive ones.

Exquisite!
No exaggeration. This is the deadliest weapon I now own. It arrived today, and after wielding it, I have to say that the different swords I practice with, especially the '300' style sword I bought from Budk, all got me ready for this widow maker! Cleaves to the hand, seemingly flows with the movement of the body. Structured so that it feels light enough to maneuver well, and heavy enough to cleave, slash, pierce, dissect with the best of them. Purchased on special with a discount and well worth paying the full price. I am very happy with this product.
Thanks

Massive
For a one handed sword, it's weight is ridiculous. This isn't necessarily bad. It's not only bigger than an average katana, it's also heavier, and, not as thick. It feels solid, and it's sharp enough. They did a good job on the engraving. If you're looking for something to throw on your hip, this might be a bit too much. the balance is ok and you can really throw it's weight around. It does major damage. It's got a solid construction but I'm not sure how long it will last. I haven't had it long enough to know.

Great looking, but bent.
The sword arrived, I looked at it and it's plenty thick enough to be used as a saber. It's reasonably sharp, and while I'm uncertain, I think that the finger guard (p-guard) may have steel at its core, which would be a nice touch if true.
Thing is, mine came bent. Not the sweeping curve of the blade, but laterally bent as if it didn't survive the hardening. It's too bad; I'm sending it back for replacement as it looks like it'd be a great 'beater' saber/cutter if it were straight.

Definately could be improved
Doubt this will get published anymore than last 3 attempts but here goes, poorly balanced, blade not set into handle squarely, slight bend in blade, only moderately sharp. Belt straight hang sheath totally impractical for a blade this length. Shorten it by 5in, redesign the sheath and improve quality control and it might be ok.

Bent Blade
I got this promptly, as the title reads. the blade was bent.
It appears as if it had set in 1 place for a long time.
It looks good, but Not a Sword. It's a 30 inch Knife.
