Avalanche Crossbow Pistol Starter Kit - Includes 50-lb Crossbow, 29 Arrows and Extra String

I got this for several reasons: price, size and the extras. A great starter kit to mess with when you don't want to drag out your big bow. It is a bit tricky to get sighted and strung, but keep at it and be patient. Once assembled it's a fun way to spend an afternoon improving your aim, getting it correctly sighted, etc. The bolts are good at staying sharp even after repeated firings, I too use gallon milk jugs to preserve tips. I suggest grabbing a rail lube and string wax kit at purchase time.

First, just take all your nuts off and lock tight them, Problems solved. Second, a little dab of silicon under you sight mount holds it steady and in place DONT over tighten'!!! Third, When you load it make sure the safety is on! This is a VERY GOOD idea for ANY type fire arm! And, when you remove safety DON'T push bolt back any further on rail! This is were your miss fires come from. The string will travel between the bolt and the rail! Fourth, WAX THE STRING AND RAIL!!! first and every 10 or so bolts. This Is A MUST! Over all, Excellent! Great for teachin' the youngin's or the new Wife....

I have set up an area where I can practice, and found this crossbow to be pretty powerful for a 50 lb, the bolts are excellent and seem to hold their points pretty good against my wood background, go through bottles filled with water, and the target I have is pretty much shot up, I have a box filled with old clothes that the target is on and after a few sight adjustments I am hitting pretty even, this is my first crossbow, and I think I will get a bigger one, I look forward to going out to my friend's place in the desert as he has a couple of more powerful crossbows, and asked me to come out and shoot some bolts with him, I would recommend this as a good starter kit, I expect to get a lot of use out of it.

This is an awesome crossbow! The bolts hit my cement basement wall and still hold a point! I love it so much.

I was really impressed with this pistol. The string was a little hard to get on initially but everything else went fine. Once set up ... this is just fun to shoot. I was really surprised at the power it possess. Nice companion to my full size crossbow. I strongly recommend

Recently had my 70 year old left shoulder replaced so I am one handed. Had a young friend help me assemble and string the pistol. By stepping on the front bar and pulling the string bar with my good hand I cock the bow easily! after several shots and breaking/losing the first 3 bolts, I opened the extra pak of bolts and now have a 3" spread on target.

I love my 80lb crossbow. I am a late fifties novice on this item but took to like a fish to water. was hitting the target everytime after about the third try. I L O V E it. And I have recommended it and let people try shooting it. They were impressed also.

A whole lots of Pros: Easy to assemble (although one step requires two people), easy to use, very easy instructions for adjusting the sites and just a whole bunch of fun. IF the was a Con, it would be that it requires two people to string. However, when you consider all of the Pros, this is an excellent purchase.

This crossbow is great its easy to pull back and the trigger is smooth and pulls easy hard to string tho

It was easy to set up and use and it was alot of fun to shoot. If somebody breaks into the house, I'll feel confident in knowing that I can protect myself.
