Military Replica Classic Cavalry Sword And Sheath

I have bought a number of these. I have several concealed in my house. In case I need to defend myself. They would be really good in close quarters combat. They are not the best swords in my collection, but I think they are well worth the price.

I've had this sword for awhile I use it to chop branches and leaves out of my way. When hiking. It holds an edge well and it's quite durable. It's no sword I'd use up against a broad sword or katana. But it's a decent blade.

I was so excited when this sword arrived, its impressive style and looks was more than I expected, for a costume , would be top drawer! But I had it hanging on my elk hooves for display and accidentally bumped it and the sword fell to the floor about 4 feet on a carpeted wood floor and the handle( which is not wrapped in leather but some kind of faux thread! over plastic and it shattered, I would be ecstatic if BudK would give me a replacement, I have not asked until now! Please send me another one!

This is an amazing piece. First one that I bought on my own, and could not be happier with my purchase. I've had it for nearly two years now, and it is by far my favorite sword up to date.

Not sharp at all so it would be great for reenactments and costumes. But clearly this is not functional in an means. Kind of cheaply made but not a bad buy. It's okay for the money.

Very nice sword. It's not sharp (seems like a lot of people are complaining about that) but I don't want it sharp. I have several Kennesaw swords and shields that I use in my high school history classroom as teaching aids. Students (boys and girls) love to come up to the front of the room and handle this cavalry sword, a Spartan one, medieval one with shield, etc. It's like touching history for them. Great price, great visual aide. No way I could afford authentic swords. Thanks Kennesaw. You make me look good!

I really do love this sword, but people are complaining about it breaking when trying to do stuff it isn't made for (like splitting logs.) But I hung this sword up and a knife, that isn't currently made anymore, side by side and people were amazed to see how great this sword felt and looked.

This sword is really great for the price. Th sword comes unsharpened but that's a plus for me. The scabbard that it comes with is dry leather. The scabbard can be hung from your belt. It can be troublesome if you want to sit down with it since it's hanging awkwardly on your side.

This is an amazing sword for the price. Even though it is unsharpened it is susposed to be that a because straight edged Calvary swords are ment for stabbing not slashing. Great product!

Good strong blade. Most of the weight lies from roughly the middle of the blade to its point. Since the handle is the lightest part, it adds more strength behind each swing- letting the blades weight do the work. Point is sharp but the blade itself could only cut butter. Fits in the sheath nicely and is overall a nice and simple blade. <br /><br />**As a side note, "made in Pakistan" was stamped (in small print) near the base of the blade where it connects to the brass guard and wooden handle. This was fairly easy to file off with several different grade files... still left mild scarring after- but this did successfully remove the stamp and the superficial scratches are barely even visible.<br />Overall, great buy for the price! Could probably do some serious damage if sharpened (excluding its already deadly impaling power.)

This sword can't be beat. It's sturdy,stylish and razor sharp. If you want the best Pakistan made long knife buy this. You wont regret it.

This sword has definitely exceeded my expectations! It does not feel lightweight by any means. Rather, it is extremely comfortable and its heft gives it a very solid and well-crafted feel. It came unsharpened. The sheath seems relatively solid as well. I was surprised at the quality and low-odor of the leather, as typically things priced this low will come with leather sheathes that smell extra potent from the low-grade tanning process. My only dislike is that the sheath has some wrinkles in it from where it appears to have been bent. Overall, I would highly recommend this sword.

This is an awesome sword. good weight, nice thick blade that will hold an edge. nice wooden handle. the sheath is also pretty good and a sharp sword shouldn't cup it if u butt the back of the sword against the back of the sheath. and this also an outstanding price. They're good enough and inexpensive enough to stock an arms room, rack, or fill a barrel with them! I bought several more figuring it'd be fun to make a pirate type rack for my writing room!

For the low price this sword is an exceptional buy. the blade is tough, reasonably sharp, and well crafted. The handle is comfortable in the hand and the thin brass guard allows plenty of room for fansy twirlling. Great addition to reneasance, military, or pirate costumes. This sword can take alot of punishment. And buyers can allow it to take said punishment guilt free, due to it's low price.

I purchased two of these swords and decided to beat one of them up to see just how well it functioned. i was impressed by how sturdy it is and how well it holds up to abuse.... the sword is still in perfect condition except a few scuffs. there arent even any dings on the blade.

I have had this sword for a year and have not had a thing to complain about. Its wieght is excellent and is a perfect short sword. It really is a beautiful sword. Many of my friends have commented on its nice appearence. It is a great addition to your collection, and if sharpened, could be a very useful close combat weapon.

Avast! This sword just screams "Pirate" when drawn. A very solid construction, with a good weight to it. A fine example of what a true saber should have.

When you hold this sword you will feel just like a pirate aproaching a town to be pilaged. The blade is not sharp but is very sturdy and is well weighted. The hilt is hard wood and has a great grip, the guard is hard brass and feels nice. The sheath is hard leather, which the blade fits very nicely into. Out of the 6 swords in my small collection it is my 2nd favourite.

So I was given this sword as an early Christmas present from a friend so I knew it was coming. But all in I'm impressed. I was expecting a low quality piece of junk that so often accompanies a $20 price tag. The weight is good and luckily i had another better looking scabbard that the blade fit into quite nicely. Over all I like it. That leather scabbard is not as bad as your read here. This is a nice Saber Sword but tang is week. That tang is really a sad part of this Saber Sword. I REALLY DO LIKE IT!!! Got it on sale with free shipping!

Decent blade, handle is a nice solid hard wood, i just got it in today and fought in single combat aginst a 2x12 and the blade held up nicely lol. But the sheeth is a pice of junk im going to make a real leather sheeth later on that wont fall apart when wet. But hey what do you expect from a $20 sword.

This is a good Short Sword. Wanted a machete but chose this Saber instead for the extra length. Thinking of getting another just for the fun of it.

Would like to give it a five star, however, it is not sharpened, and would need a lot of work to sharpen it. Other wise it is well built, with a wooden handle, and a some what sharp point. Hey, fifteen dollars, you can't buy much these days. Good historic replica piece.

This is a great sword for the price (and the frugal collector!) I bought this as a wall piece to add to my collection. It arrived expeditiously, in excellent shape, and without any blade dings or damage. It doesn't have an edge, but its for display so it doesn't matter to me. It seems like it could be sharpened easily and function fantastically as a swinging/slicing sword! I recommend this for buyers who want something simple, sturdy, and affordable.

I recently purchased this item from budk, and it came in today. I was overall satisfied with the product, but I have one issue: the blade isn't stainless steel like it says in the product description. My blade came with a few spots of rust on it, which I buffed out no problem, but I wish that they'd make sure that the product has no defect, you know? Besides, stainless steel doesn't rust, so the description is wrong. I don't blame budk, they just used the generic description that every other site that sells it does. Overall, it's a great buy with a price one can't argue with

Sharp enough blade, very solid construction, except for the handle. The handle was already jiggling about when I opened the box.

Got this sword from UPS, a few licks of a fine file and off I went to try it out. After some use it became loose in the handle, but the brass nut at the end tightens it right down again. Can't go wrong for the price.

It's a very basic, but very nice piece. I wouldn't recommend trying to fight with it, but it looks great with he rest of my collection. It's simplicity is ass much it's downside as it's charm. There's nothing eye-popping, but it can really help brighten your collection and make the entire display as a whole look much better. And the price is as everything else on trueswords.com is, absolutely the single best deal available for a sword this quality. i really enjoy this sword. it's not very ornate, just plain, and it's a good weight. very sturdy. very good buy for less than $20. my only complaint is that it's bent to one side 6 inches from the tip.

This sword is amazing! It took all 4 days to get to my house, but it was totally worth it. It just screams PIRATE!!! at your face when you unsheath it. The blade is considerably heavier than the handle, so that made a factor for the handle. Sometimes it rotatets out of place, not by far, but you can tell because the handle goes slant-ways. You can easily put it back in place though. The sheath that it came with was awesome too. They're a perfect fit! The blade is not dull, but it is not sharpened all the way, so it is virtually safe to use around anyone. All in all this was a good sword for a great price. But with this type of sword I would recommend using for display most of the time.

This one did not pass the muster for me. Looks and feels cheaply made. Has no edge to it, and does not fit the scabbard properly. I would not recommend this one.

I read some reviews and have to say I knew exactly what I was getting. It is a display piece with a dull blade not meant for chopping or cutting but I dare say it would hurt if you got poked by it! I needed it for a Halloween costume and it is perfect for my needs. The hilt and hand guard is the cheapest looking piece, which is just a strip of tarnished brass bent in an arch. The sheath is very basic leather, but it fits my needs, and looks good hanging from my belt. Being as dull as a butter knife is desirable for a costume piece. If you are looking for something to clang around in stage fighting; this is not the sword you want.

Ok, well when i first got this sword i was like ok this is pretty sweet but then after further inspection, i realized and the sheath is very bad quality (I've had mine for about 30 minutes and its already falling apart) And for the sword cannot be sharpened, the blade is somewhat warped, and there about five scratches on the hilt...besides those things this is a really nice sword...FOR DISPLAY OR LIGHT PLAY ONLY.

It can not be sharpened. I guess cause it is made of metal that is poor for sharpening. I have tried three ways to try to sharpen it and they all didn't work. While other swords I have are very sharp. But a good buy if you just want to show it off.

The handel wasent exactly the best, sword was decent<br />My hand fit but, it slips because the wooden piece isnt exactly same size through out, kinda like a cone.

It is cool to look at, but don't use it. I tried to split a small log with it, and the blade snapped in half! Do not buy!

Got the sword today. For the price it's not bad. You can't use this for anything but display. The blade is dull and can't be sharpened. Overall it's very cheaply made but for $15.00 what do you expect.
