I was really surprised about the quality of the sword--it was more than I expected based on the price point. It is relatively sharp and beautifully designed. Well worth the investment.

I loved this sword. The fittings were tight didn't feel as if it was gonna come apart from use. Blade was nice and sharp, cut a many of bamboo mats. Unfortunately my house was broken into and this was one of the items stolen. Plan on getting another soon

I just received this sword 5 days ago. It come extremely sharp every thing was nice and tight. It’s definitely worth $250

Purchased this sword. Came one day early. Unboxing it the presentation box was in great condition (which I was worried about) with latches in place and seemed somewhat sturdy. The spine seemed somewhat fragile so don't test it. Everything else blew me away and was first rate. The hamon line. The sharpness to the smoothness of the blade. This thing is a work of art that just happens to be a real katana. After wiping down the blade of excess oil and putting a little shine on some other parts it made the thick immovable cardboard box it shipped in look like it would've torn in a light wind. 5 stars is toi low for this.

As was pointed out by other reviews, the presentation box that the sword comes shipped in isn't the sturdiest material. However, should you take care in moving the box around, it's fine, and the case itself IS functional as a part of the display or for carrying the blade concealed. Onto the sword, though, I quite like it. For $200, it feels sturdy, and it looks pretty good too. Can swing it without worrying about it falling apart. The sword is a bit stiff in terms of taking it apart. I had a hard time getting the blade and handle to separate, but that's probably for the better. I only keep the sword for collection, so I see no reason why I should need to dismantle it for maintenance outside of routinely oiling it. One other thing I spent some time on was the brass accessories of the katana. They were all very tarnished, but with some microfiber rags and a bottle of Brasso, I was able to clean and polish them to a really nice shine in about 15 minutes after letting the brass pieces sit covered in the stuff overnight. Overall, a nice purchase for someone who isn't looking to spend an arm and a leg for a decent quality katana.

Bought this a while ago, decided to wait on review. This sword performs exceptionally well, especially for its price point. I would rate it as a medium cutter, but it can clear hard target's as well. I have used mine on 3" tree's with no problem. not very long ago my girlfriends grandfather called us and asked us to come and sawzall a couple deer heads off, i took this Katana instead. 3 deer heads and a hind quarter split later i have 2 tiny dings in the blade, it was my own fault i swung wrong, but the blade did VERY well it cut flesh and bone with almost no resistance. for $200 you can not find another blade this good. my ONE problem is that tear down is very difficult, the tsuba did not want to come off or go back on, i managed with the help of a wood block and hammer, but i cut myself in the process(thankfully not very badly), so be careful.

I was totally unprepared for this sword. I opened the display box and the sword was wrapped in a sword bag. when i took the sword out of the bag, it took my breath away. This sword is BEAUTIFUL. I can't find anything not to love about this sword. It comes very sharp. It is a true work of art. i highly recommend this sword to anyone that wants a true one of a kind sword. It is the centerpiece of my collection.

I have ordered 3 katanas from budk now, unfortunately one had to be returned due to rust on the blade. My first one good sword for what I spent on it but its no real katana, fun sword though. But this musashi falcon katana, I was very impressed and surprised about the quality and sharpness of this sword. It is 1045 & 1060 carbon Damascus blade with the true hamon line the feel of this sword makes me feel like an ancient samurai warrior the blade effortlessly slices through anything you throw at it. Not a big deal to me but it is not in the description that this sword does not have a blood groove but I could care less about that when the overall quality of this blade is just flawless. You will not regret this blade it is well worth the 200.00$ you won't be disappointed.

I just got this sword in today I ordered from Canada and took about a week to get here, but its well worth the wait and money. This sword is really well done and even comes with a nice box and cleaning kit I have no dents on the sword or sheath but the box was damaged on the bottom from shipping.(Tsuba broke through the bottom) The blade is very sharp and very straight this is my first real katana I defiantly not my last.

I bought this sword a while ago. I don't really do reviews right when I get something. I got the sword very quickly, and right out of the box, the sword wouldn't come apart. It took me over 2 hours to get the thing apart. And when I did, the tsuba wouldn't come off. But I called trueswords, and they offered to replace it with one that does no questions asked. I decided to stick with the one I had because I was determined to get this one to work for me. Eventually it came apart and it does so relatively easily now. The only true complaint I have about the sword is that the blade is really only sharpened on the upper foot maybe foot and a half. And it didn't come razor sharp as they claim. I had only owned it for a month or two and I was already looking for a sharpening service. Trueswords was awesome, and the sword was too, but the edge left something to be desired.

I have to say. This is an awesome sword. True swords shipped it out to me in 3 days. The sword had a beautiful box that came with it. I did a cut test with the sword with a V8 bottle and it sliced right threw. Thank you trueswords and i will totally shop on you website again.

I have bought several products from Trueswords and have been consistently pleased with their products. I bought this wanting something real and not just a display, and seeing the case and sword in all its beauty, I believe my jaw just dropped. This is definitely worth the money.

The White Falcon is a beauty to behold. First off, the White Falcon comes in a decorative case that not only acts as a nice display but functions very well to protect the katana. The katana itself is a sight to be seen. The nice clean white gives it a really unique look and feel. The balance of the sword is superb, it really allows one to use it with ease. Overall, I can say I am very satisfied with my purchase. True Swords shipped it out very fast and I will be more than happy to shop with them again.

Before purchasing this sword, I was looking for something that was beautiful, functional as a cutter, traditional, and reasonably priced. I carefully researched my options and this seemed to be the best selection for under $250. This sword is truly beautiful without being garish. The wrappings and furniture are tight and solid. The sword itself is well balanced, but with some appreciable heft.

I found that the beauty of the sword complimented its functionality and elicited a strong sense of respect. The sword feels secure and strong both during tameshigiri and kata. Even after several days of vigorous forms practice and cutting, everything remained firmly in place. I put this sword through several light test cuts involving water bottles. It simply scythed through them with very little detectable resistance. I also tested it against some tightly rolled rubber mats and rolled carpeting. Again, it performed reasonably well. There was some minor scuffing, but no significant dulling of the blade.

When I received the sword it was sharp, but not razor sharp. A few minutes work with a wet stone and fine grained sand paper allowed me to establish the kind of edge I wanted. The new edge held up well to the practice cuts. I feel very confident this sword will hold up over time for medium cutting duty. I also suspect that this sword could handle heavy cutting duty, but would require more frequent maintenance/sharpening.
My hope for this sword seems more or less justified.

You can find better swords on this site, but they are all more expensive. I feel that this sword remains the best deals that I have seen. I am very pleased with it and with True Swords.

Got this yesterday and haven't had a chance to put it through the paces yet, but first impression is WOW, just WOW!! 5 STARS!

I need to start the story about five years ago. I first discovered trueswords. I had some money to spare and I loved swords, so I bought one. I had too much fun with it and it broke. Buy, break, buy, break etc. I keep buying from this amazing site, and I have had so much joy from these weapons. Then I moved from swords to airsoft and trueswords had me covered again! Now I'm back to swords and I now know how to find the good ones, not sword shaped objects, like the first ones. This sword is by far the best sword I have ever seen, held, and bought. Thank you for listening to my story and trueswords, please, please never stop selling! Best website ever!

One of the best value items on the entire site hands down.

$200 is a great deal for the high level of quality in this sword.

It came just as described and is way better than I had imagined.
5/5

I just got my sword today and my first empression was wow. It is a great sword, it's sharp, the handle is tightly wraped, and the display box it came in is a great box

This is a great product and will sell out fast.
Having recieved the EliteFolded - White Falcon Katana I was immediately impressed with its craftmanship. The fittings were VERY nice for a sub $300 Katana. It didn't end there though. The Ito is beutifully done and tight, there is no looseness or rattle even after a month of moderate use and abuse.
The blade is beautiful, amazing really, the steel has a wood grain pattern to it that makes you wonder about the old belief of steel having life or a soul. It is shaving sharp the entire length. The blade shape is consistent with traditional expectations. The Hamon is beautiful and when viewed down the blade length with light on it, very beautiful. This blade is in my opinion easily a reliable medium cutter, having effortlessly severed several 2" aspen branches among other things.
In closing, I am amazed at the overall quality of this item. I honestly do not think you can find a comparable blade and package for under $600. Thank you True Swords.
Also, I would like to note that an error on an earlier order allowed me to learn how very seriously True Swords takes their customer service. It is the best I have ever seen. Order from them with complete confidence they will go the extra mile, they did for me and are now the first place I look when I want to buy something sword related.

Sad to see that the sword does not have a groove. This has lowered my satisfaction for the product.
Jun 20, 2015

I am a long time student of the Japanese art of the sword, and have encountered much difficulty in finding higher quality steel at reasonable (meaning less than a compact car) price. Well this is it. Good steel-folded w/ differential hardnesses along the blade. You can't go wrong with this one enjoy. JP

The sword is nice, the layered steel and the harmon line give it a impressive visual presentation. However the display box is total junk. The cloth was loose in several places and revealed the Styrofoam used as filler. If you intend to give this item as a gift be prepared to repair the presentation box or to completely make another.
