Product Description
This highly detailed Samurai sword set is the most exquisite set ever produced by Shinwa sword masters. Each of the 1060 carbon steel blades is hand-forged by skilled artisans and then wrapped in real ray skin and a traditional cord-wrapped handle. Intricately detailed tsubas are accented by a gold-plated menuki and habaki. The lacquered wooden scabbards are inlaid with a beautiful dragon inlay created with real, natural pearl. This three-piece set includes a custom Shinwa wooden sword stand.
I have had my eyes on this item(s) for quite a long time and after finally saving enough to buy it, I am glad with what I got. The swords are beautiful and the sheathes have a great Maroon color that compliments the pearl dragon inlay beautifully. For those looking for new blades, I highly recommend this if you have the money for it.

Wow
We are going to DragonCon this Labor day, andy wife wanted to change her Cosplay. They came in a gorgeous display box with an amazing display stand. Extremely Sharp, amazing looks, fel and fits no rattles or anything. Just an amazing 3 pack.
One thing I really liked, even though it woke me, was they called to make sure I had ordered it due to the amount of $$$ involved.

Very impressed
First off, this listing does absolutely no justice for these swords. I have purchased shinwa in the past and i have been highly disappointed before so i was skeptical about buying these. But when i opened the cardboard box and seen the beautiful dragon box it came in my skepticism was thrown to the side. ALL 3 of the swords were very beautiful, perfect, sharp, and all had real hamon lines. You cannot get a better deal for this price!! The scabbards were very beautiful. Not to mention the beautiful, and very sturdy sword stand it came with. If shinwa keeps on with this quality. I may change my mind about the company all together. Thank you trueswords for the wonderful experience!

Beautiful scabbard
When i recived these blades the box it came in was beautiful and the weapons were already sharp and polished. But the scabbards were the best part for me. They are so good and the laccord wood can't be shown in just pictures. Every time I look at them they become more and more pretty looking. I would highly recommend a shinwa sword to any blade collector or martial arts practitioner or if your both like me XD. The blades are great steel and the construction is well done and battle ready. When I practice with them I can really tell how deadly and effective these are. Unlike other collective pieces I have

Gorgeous
Gotta agree with the other Clint. These swords are beautiful. The damascus blades are fantastic and super sharp. All the fittings are tight and there's no rattle anywhere. The swords fit quite snugly in the scabbards, which are also beautiful. Highly recommended.

my opinion
i 100% agree with him , they are such beautiful and functional works of art, i give thanks for the artisans and designers of SHINWA, keep working hard, living up to expectations, and making Damascus blades true beyond and deeper than the false but pretty damascus blade prints.

My experience was a complete 180 of Ian's. These swords are all solid. The Damascus layers are clearly evident in my set and the blades are beautiful. They are all extremely tightly fitted with no rattle and sharp as hell. None of the scabbards are loose on my set. If anything they're overly tight, but I wouldn't say it takes an absurd amount of strength to pull the swords. It does take some effort though. Also the pearl design on the scabbards is gorgeous and the box was fine. If I was any more satisfied they'd have to arrest true swords for a happy ending. It's unfortunate Ian may have gotten a "dud." I personally would highly recommend this set.

Sword Set
I own several real japanese swords which are worth in the 5 digit figures. They are lock away. I wanted some thing nice to display and maybe use for cutting. They fit the bill perfect! They are actual weapons and are beautiful too! I am extremely happy with them, and for the price they can not be beat. Thank you BudK

very nice set
This sword set is impressive; it's very sharp and has a blood fillet with a real hammon. The picture is a little dark compared to what arrived. The scabbards are maroon (you can see the wood grain through the finish), not ox-blood and the blade is silver, not black damascus steel. The inlaid dragon is exquisite. The stand is lined with velvet where the swords sit and they come in a Japanese inspired cloth covered cardboard box that's a keeper. These are as close to battle-ready you can get for the price and are real show-pieces. I couldn't be happier.

Its alright.
From other comments I expected them to be bery sharp but they could barely even dent the cardboard box they came in, other than that they look and feel nice, they are lighter than expected tho.

I've used true swords a lot over the years. This is the first time I was dissatisfied. The product didn't come as advertised. Instead of Damascus steel it was regular 1060 carbon steel (im not 100% sure on being 1060 but i could guess based off other purchases). Another issue is that the sheath practically falls off of the katana and it takes an absurd amount of strength to take the sheath off of the tanto. The box also came with some light damage. I normally wouldn't complain over small things like this, but being $400 i at least expect to receive the product I payed for.
