The keenly sharp, 28” blade is hand-forged of T10 carbon steel with a burned finish, and it extends from a solid brass habaki. The distal taper is 7.5mm thick and 31.4mm broad at the habaki, to 5.3mm thick and 24mm wide at the yokote. The handle is wrapped in genuine white ray skin and black cord-wrap and the solid iron handguard depicts the story of Omori Hikoshichi from Japanese mythology. The 2 lbs, 12.6 oz, 41” overall katana slides securely into a black lacquered wooden scabbard, which has a black cord-wrap accent.
