Sokojikara Joker Katana With Scabbard - T10 Clay Tempered Steel Blade, Genuine Black Rayskin, Brass Fittings -Length 39 1/4”

I highly anticipated the arrival of what looked like a very nice sword. I was not disappointed. You can tell the swordmaker of my blade had alot of experience, the sword was near flawless. The only flaw was a deep scratch, almost dead center on the left side of the blade, about 1/4 inch long, probably the finisher, definitely not the bladmaker, dude was too proud of his work. The blade is seriously sharp, and has a beautiful hamon. Very well balanced also, about 4 inches of the tsuba. Unbelievable to get a decent katana at this price. The only other issue is it came in a cardboard "Shinwa" box. What's up with that? Other than that oversight, it's a great deal, couldn't be happier.

This Joker sword is so awesome my sister completely talked me out of it. Nothing works out tension like swinging this beautiful deadly baby... so she says. I may be forced to buy another and keep it hidden. ;)

I bought a blood dragon with a dragon on the scabbard and red tsuka wrap.Don't think it's for sale any more ? I also have a golden crain and the joker katanas.All great,I have munetoshi,s,hanwei,musashi,hsts,ryumon,ryujin and these sokojikara,s very good.I had some trouble with my first purchase on the joker katana but budk customer service came through and I got my replacement befor Christmas thank you budk customer service!.I have bought swords from budk and the quality and never been let down,have also bouthe shinwa,and united black swords also good.I will again buy in the future from budk Thanks again budk Ray Blundell

For 165 it's a good deal. It came with a shinwa box and manual though which sucks. Idk if they all come that way, I was expecting sokojikaras wooden box. Don't remember what the brass piece on top of the Tsuba is called but the finish on it was not great and there was a gap on one of the sides. Other than those things it's pretty good. Blade came sharp with some protective wax on it and has a good looking hamon. Saya fit snug and has a nice finish. And the ito wrap is tight. Also the picture with the sword having a bohi or (blood groove) is false, it does not have one. Decent beginner sword for the money. I have seen reviews of people taking these swords apart and they are true full tang. It doesn't thin down drastically at the end.
