Timber Rattler Saddlebag Skinner Knife

Bought this for a cheap Christmas present at surprise party. The handle and feel were way more than what I expected. Quality seemed great. Still a $10 knife not sure how it would hold up in real world use. May do good. May not. But for $10 I felt like I got my money’s worth and than some. Will be ordering me one.

Bought it as i'm starting to grow a collection, and it is definitely majestic to hold and look at. It's a bit smaller than you'd expect but it definitely gives off a sort of Arabian danger to it (the curved blade looks AWESOME in person). did not come razor sharp out of the box, but i'm sure with a little effort it can be dangerously sharp and very menacing. I do recommend this knife

This is a fantastic knife for the price. It is full tang and good steel. Seems like I have to sharpen it often, but it's worth it. This has turned into my every day care knife. The knife looks great and works well for everything on a daily basis. I have several more stored in my safe just in case BudK closes them out.This is definitely recommended as a "buy". You can't go wrong.

I bought this because as much as I love my big Bowies when I wear them people look at me like thay think I want to murder them, I can carry this little Bowie aroud all day, cut what needs cuting, and although this knife still gets looks its more of a hay thats a really nice knife, then the that thing makes me uneasy look.

This knife is gorgeous! The pictures do not do it justice. I do have nice big knives, but nothing this nice. Didn't come super sharp but a little session on the stone and now it is. I've had this knife for a few days now and received a lot of compliments about it. Buy this knife. Now!

The Timber Rattler Saddlebag knife is a very nice looking knife. Came sharp out of the box and is a very useful knife! This knife has very good craftmanship and is full tang! Very excelent knife out of the box! A very beautiful ans useful knife! Well worth the money! This is one of the best knives I have bought in awhile. Looks nice in or out of the sheath! I have my eyes on a couple of other knives! Good purchase and money well spent!!

Can't go wrong with this full tang skinner! Well made and arrived razor sharp. This and the Rivers Edge Saddle knife are my weekend belt knives. Will order more Rattlers.

I love short fixed blade knives that are full tang and this one fit the bill. Absolutely awesome. Get one and you will be very pleased.

This is one nice little skinner. Well built and sharp out of the box. Very convenient to carry. All in all, I am very satisfied with this knife and sheath. I do believe I am going to order another one!

I could not believe the quality and craftsmanship of this knife. It is virtually flawless from defect of any kind. My opinion is if you want an awesome new knife without spending much, this is it. The leather sheath is also of good quality. Thanks

solid little knife! carry sheath was crap. no biggie. i just made one of quality like this knife deserves. the knife is well built. the handle was assembled well. i like brass guard and pins.

This is a beautaful knife it has a great look and feels great in my hand. The sheath looks amazing, but it doesnt seem very well constructed. Even though the sheath doesnt seem very durable it is still a great buy.

A very well made knife. Great workmanship. Very sharp out of the box. Only beef is the handle is short for me and I have medium sized hands. 1/2 inch more the tang and it would have been 5 stars.... other than that its a keeper .....

Well made knife. Add thumb jimping and a lanyard hole and it would be a GREAT knife.

First, knife is only 8 in long and blade is 4 1/4-4 3/8, not 4 3/4 as advertised. Handle is only 3 5/8 and only 3 1/4 of that is grippable due to protruding brass bolster. Hence all the comments about the short handle. Typical Pasistan-made undersized handle. Knife is well made, durable and goodlooking. I got 2 of them, hence the slight variation in size. The knife is usable only due to the skinner design, where the thumb rests on top of the blade. I midified the thumb rest with grooves, so thumb won't slip. Knife will outlast the sheath, My plan is to sharpen it, modify the point slightly and use it to field dress. It is ideal for that because it is compact.If you carry it in the field, get a better sheath, like Smitty said.

All in all, not a bad little knife. Solid blade and tightly constructed. Leather sheath is nicer than I expected for a knife in this price range. Grip is a little small for my hand, and the handle looks a little nicer in the pic than in reality, but you won't find a nicer one for ten bucks.

The knife is nice looking and solidly built but looking closely the quality may be just lacking a little but not enough to hinder the performance of the knife. The brass guard wasn't even, one was extended out more than the other which didn't hurt anything but the looks. The sheath was so-so! The handle of the knife is definitely attractive and assembled tight but the length of the grip may be a little short for those with big hands. Made in Pakistan. It is worth the price and the four star rating is because of the uneven brass guard and sheath. Happy trails.
