TOMAHAWK BRAND® Full Tang Ninja Machete & Sheath

I just unboxed it... and I just ordered a second one. An excellent item, right out of the box it is razor sharp, actually yes that sharp. My personal use is cutting brush, campsite utility, and if necessary, a weapon. Certainly it will be with me when backpacking or camping in wilderness areas. This machete is slightly weighted toward the front enhancing cutting power, but still well-balanced and maneuverable. I like the price, but I have to say this this is not a cheap blade/ It arrived razor sharp, with a Hollow ground blade, and full tang. The handle is a wrapped cord,but looks and feels nice. Because of the full tang, to change the handle or to make one, is simple and not difficult. This i s a seriously good machete at a great price. I ordered a second one within minutes of receiving my first.

Nice ,strong ,and solid. I got this on the bogo got one in the truck and gave one to a friend and I am sure that it take a zombies head off. Have fun ,be safe and kill zombies

Its awesome i ordered 2 they are great soon as i got them i was going through brush cutting right through dime size branches one shot really good ans got them very soon

This thing cuts small brush like no tomorrow. Good to take camping just for that reason. This thing needed to be sharpened first. But other then that it is a cool little tool.

I cannot explain how awesome this is by typing.<br />But if your buying this for the shoulder strap do not buy it.<br />That is my only problem and for me its not a problem :)

I received this free with $35 purchase and was very excited when i opened it....its sturdy and sharp but could use a bit sharper edge...it feels sturdy and light weight but it does any small job.....was so happy with it i purchased the united cutlery panga machete and this one is the perfect accompanime?t to the united one.......two great machetes.

This machete is well worth the price. Durable, sharp, well balanced, and handy as heck. Love the sheath.

I'm into machete's so I had to give this one a shot at such a bargin. I'm not a cord wrapped guy so I had my doubts here. Much to my surprise the cord has held up well. Cord is a good option when something is not being thrown. The blade is one-piece and strong. Mine came with a fair edge which will be sharpend shortly.

I love this blade, I went crazy with it in the woods behind my house. I am a giant machete fan, and I live every machete out there. This would be one of my top 5. Shoulder strap was useless, sheath is good for belt carrying, I cut the sheath but I just taped the sheath with tape. By far trueswords is my number one place to shoo

I was blown away. Came fairly sharp, light weight, fits in many places for many applications. Handle is firmly wrapped, plus it looks awesome. Bought a pair and their my favorites

This machete is really solid thanks to the full tang construction and it gets amazingly sharp. I definitely recommend this machete for defense/tool usage.

This machete is AWESOME! It comes fairly sharp and its easy to get it much sharper. It looks even better then the picture, I was surprised. The only bad thing I will say is that the pommel is just twine, a little weird.

This thing is incredible. Sharp enough to do it's job as a tool and a weapon if needed. I used it on a large cardboard box and it went all the way to the floor. Both the blade and sheath are great. The shoulder strap are to small and come off easily though. I made loops with duct tape.

I bought two of these. It works great for cutting large weeds and vines. Excellent for use in the woods.

I bought it just for fun. I did not think it would be sturdy enough for wilderness activity. I was wrong. This tool is pretty tough - much more so than I had expected. Unlike many "machetes" on the market, this one can baton hardwood without bending. It took an edge quickly. Forged from softer metals, I suppose. The edges chip with heavy work but I just hone them away. A good buy for the price, hence the five-star rating.

This machete is strong and reliable, I've put it through a lot the 3 months I've had it. Its a great buy at a steal. But it doesn't say ninja when I look at it though. 5 stars thanks budk.

This machete is surprisingly good came not very sharp but easy to sharpen. I use this machete a lot and it holds the edge good. The handle is a little uncomfortable so I threw on some intertube and it feels good. The sheath is flimsy but tape it up with some duct tape and it improves it.

I love this machete its more durable than most of my machetes. I absolutely love it.

Amazing blade. Thin and lightweight yet very durable as the bigger machetes. Brought this camping and was hacking away at some brush and tree limbs and it shows no wear. Very low cost for tang steel. Also the sheath is very nice and comes with a loop for a belt.

This knife is made for those who like hiking, camping, and who love knives. I'm a knife and gun fanatic with over 75 knives and swords and a stockpile of guns. this is one of my favorite knives to take out cuz its lite, sharpens easily, big enough to hack off limbs... take that any way u want to. only thing i would change would be a thicker handle. very handy and overall great.

i love this machete it works great the only problem is that if u hit anything metal it will chip the blade...common sense of course not to hit anything metal lol

Smaller than it seemed, but 20 inches as said. Very sharp and pointy, great back up machete or weapon. Full tang of course. Great blade.

shorter and thinner then i expected, but its still really nice. very sharp and even though its light, it has good cutting power. my only complaints are that the handle wrap came of(i solved that issue with black duct tape) and the end of the blade will put a hole in the bottom of the sheath over time(another problem that was easily remedied with duct tape)

Amazing for the price. It has very good weight distribution and comes extremely sharp. Made of very high quality steel, and comes with a fairly good sheath. I can't figure out what the hole near the tip is, but it looks cool. The only downside is the shoulder strap is very short and thin. The strap broke the first time I putt it on, but it is still very good for storage. I will definitely be buying from trueswords again.

overall good weapon and great for chopping tree limbs and wood. the sheath however is not as good but fun to use overall

OMG i loved this thing one time i hit a piece of iron with it and the iron nicked more than the blade 10/10

All I have to say about this is that it is wonderful. Although it was a lot shorter than I expected it (more like a huge Bowie knife, than a machete) it is still almost perfect for what I was planning on doing with it if it was a full length machete. Despite the surprise in length, its still a hell of a deal for $10.00

I love this machete man, its a little small but not really its a very good size that is easy to carry, its also very light and has a great handle, its also pretty sharp as well, and the shealth is cool too, I totally recomend buying this thing, I mean its only like 10 dollers, I think thats a great deal thanks budk

just got this, haven't had a chance to use it yet.but like everything else I've gotten looks good, haven't had a problem with anything I've gotten from you and for the price,nuff said.

I got this machete from budk for around $12 so I wasn't expecting much. It came with these weird spots on the blade that won't wipe off, possibly oil or grease. The blade also came very dull. I tried to sharpen it with a small automatic sharpening too from Gerber. This helped a lot but still didn't get too sharp, the last 7 inches or so of the machete are the only part that took an edge well. I used the machete to cut some water bottles, it performed okay. The cord handle does not provide much shock protection and I will probably re wrap it but that seems to be a flaw in a lot of these cheaper full tang stainless steel ninja type blades. Overall for the price I got my money's worth

I had bought a smaller knife similar in construction with the cord wrap handle. I love the low budget price, I have in mind some DIY projects making spears/halbeard type items with the metal itself. It already has drilled holes into the tang so making a staff to fit these wouldn't be hard and you could drill holes for pins to secure the blades to it. I think for its cool shape and feels solid enough for a machete as advertised but the grip is less than ideal for swinging and banging against wood. I imagine the shock would be uncomfortable. This sweeping blade will make an awesome spear/naginata though

I bought two of these in a bogo sale, and I've used it extensively, it's still pretty sharp, and has taken everything I've thrown at it.

I received two of these in the 5 Machete surprise package. They are more of a scimitar sword shape but seem sharp enough. For survival use, I can see adding one to a BOB and using it as a Chinese style weapon. Split a 6 foot sapling near the end, take off the cord, slide the blade into the split, wrap the cord and secure it. You have a long handle sword! At this price, you could get a few and save some for trading material as well.

The machete is more like a sword it's razor sharp and pretty good quality. The sheath was sliced which was disappointing as well as the shoulder strap which appeared not to be sliced but torn from the base of the sheath. Poor sheath quality is expected though I try not to complain to much about this issue. I just use gorilla tape to seal the holes and it gives the sheath a somewhat reinforced tip. I think this is a good blade and would recommend it.

Was razor sharp out the box,made short work of briars and vines. The sheath is cheap and flimsy, but it is still well worth the price.

If you are looking at these reviews, wondering if this is worth the money, stop and buy this. I am not a new person to knives and swords, I am quite experienced and skilled with a sword for most purposes; so do not disregard me as a come newbie kid when I say that this is possibly the best blade I have ever used. The blade is fourteen inches; but in the right hands, those are the most destructive 14 inches you can get. The simple build of cord wrapped single piece steel means that the only way this is to break the steel itself, so it is much stronger than many machetes. Hell, I throw mine end over end into targets, and no damage is sustained. Trueswords is getting robbed at this price for this quality.

I took this machete hiking right out of the box. For the price it's a steal. You won't ever have to worry about it bending or losing the handle and that's why I bought to for my family's go bag. The only bad thing I can say is about the sheath. I would gladly have paid more for a long lasting sheath but like I said for the money you can't go wrong

The Sheath strap to hold on my back broke but i can sew it back on which so its not that bad. I'm not going around chopping trees down with it but bushes to trek through fields, again i bought this on the buy one get one free sale, and i am impressed with it. Sheath could use a little more work, but i enjoy this very much. Thanks Budk!

Not very sharp out of the box, but that can be fixed easily. Very good deal for only 9.99.

This machete is better than I thought it would be for being free with $35 purchase. It came fairly sharp out of the box. It seems stronger and heavier than I thought. The sheath however, is cheap. The point of the machete has already gone through the end of the sheath within the first day.

Got this machete for free with the $35 purchase deal. Very happy with it. It's a little smaller than I expected but the blade came pretty sharp and I like the chord wrapped handle. It's got a nice weight too. Not sure about the strap on the sheath but who cares about that. great purchase XD

I bought this some months ago - it was just the size I was looking for and the price was better then just right. The nylon sheath is worthless - the blade punctured through the bottom when I hung it up - from box to wall - so yea, it's sharp.<br />As is logical, if you plan to actually use this as a tool the finish will rub off. That's to be expected when you hack away pine branches up to 2" diameter and 2"-3" thick sumac. Even cut through some 1" hickory and cleared some branches (up to about 2" dia.) from a downed cherry tree (a really old one). It even did well this past winter when I used it to chop up some ice blocking up the run off trench. Through all that I only had to sharpen it once.<br />For what it is, the only thing that will make this better is if the blade edge wasn't concave.

it a pretty good machete. it a lot heaver than I expected, mine wasn't that sharp when I got it but that was a easy fix,I sharpened it up and now its very sharp. :)

I just got this in the mail today. Trueswords phenomenal shipping time is great! The machete is a decent one. The quality of the blade is nice and the tip is really sharp and pointy. The edge isn't the sharpest but you can just run it through the accusharp or whatever and it'll be good. Mine came with some black spots on it but I wiped them off with my shirt. Blade itself had no flaws and is great. Fits in there pretty good. I was surprised at how my handle turned out to be. The material isn't the best. Everyone kept saying it was bad or decent but won't hold up but mine was wrapped pretty good and tight so my handle came better than expected.. The sheath is decent but not the best and it's a little flimsy but does the job. The strap was horrible. It came half sown in there and broke when I put it on but everyone else who posted a review on here said the sheath and strap was bad too so yeah. The little strap close to the handle with the button on it is a little spacey and the machete slips through it a tiny bit if you're carrying it upside down but you won't be with the strap lol. So overall decent blade, needs to be sharpened a little, handle and sheath decent but not the best, shoulder strap 99.9% unusable. A very good price for $10. And yes, the sheath does come rectangular if anyone is wondering. Trueswords has a new satisfied customer! I'll be looking forward to buying more products later.

For 10 bucks, it's not so bad. I was disappointed with the sheath (the machete will cut right through it). Looks better once I wrapped the handle with paracord. I will have to look for or make another sheath.

So yeah, I got this machete and overall I was pretty impressed. Nice full-tang, durable, sharp blade. The only reason for 4 stars was 1: because of the cord wrapping coming off, and two, the black carbon finish coming off too. But hey I don't mess around and throw it or cut stuff just for fun trying to be cute. I actually use them to their full extent. But it was a nice blade. Keep em coming BUDK.

I bought this thinking the whole thing would be amazing! I was right. Except for one thing, the handle. The cord is thin and flimsy. You can grip it and feel the metal. The cord is a bit loose. So I plan on replacing it with 550 paracord. Bought from budk as you know :) Don't get me wrong I love everything I buy from budk. I almost need to stop getting on this website every week. I have spent like 500 bucks on here since Christmas on stuff I want. Thanks budk for all the awesomeness! Shipping is also great too, never had a complaint.

Nice $10 machete. Its not dull but not sharp.

This thing is amazing, I expected LESS but got so much more, the one piece blade/handle is a HUGE plus, the wrapped cord on the handle is amazing, the extra cord is good for wrapping around your hand while you hold the thing.

So this is a Nice Machete, the blade holds up under allot of abuse & stays sharp. Its taken chunks out of concrete on a few misses when seeing how well it throws, but the blade stayed sharp with a few nicks. It throws nicely, though the blade isn't thick enough, because it bent when we were throwing it. The nylon wrapping also came off but electric tape does just fine. The sheath is also cheap & its hard to draw it when its on your back & when sharpened the machete cuts out the side when you draw it. Over all its worth the ten bucks.

the cord on handle is not that tight but its good machete i moded it for a better handle and made a new belt style sheath i took it camping upstate and it worked dam good and at that price its a good start buy for and outdoors men <br /><br />pros<br />good blade<br />easy to improve<br /><br />cons<br />cord handle kinda sucks<br />and sheath really sucks

Very good, very top heavy but good! the plastic it comes in leaves a film on it but that can be washed off. great blade.

This came with the tip bent, the end had a hook in it so that needed to be straightened. Also the plastic wrapping that it comes in, inside the sheath, left a residue on the blade, took a bit of effort to rub that off. Otherwise very sturdy and sharp.

Careful with the edge on this item, cut thru my sheath.

an exelent solid piece of steel with enough natural leverage due to balance to chop through one inch tree branches with ease, and holds an edge very well. though the nylon wrappping as a handle is less than ideal as a grip, but the hilt is designed perfectly to attach propper wood and rivets or any other type of handle. the metal is what really counts and is well worth the money. it has already proven itself agenst two miles of trail brush and debris, with extreamly little sign of wear.

3 stars due to the fact that I thought it would be longer. Other than that a great addition to my collection of blades. Probably should of read how long it was. Also did not like the fact that it resembles a pirate sword or kind of cutlass nothing about this says NINJA, but still a great bang for the buck.

the blade breaks easy, it is not the best thing i every bought but i got it extremely cheap on one of the sales so i cant complain much
