Best knife I've ever had.
I've had a LOT of knives butthis one was by far the best especially for the price! I threw it into wood often and it stuck like a champ! Cleaned a few hogs with it too! Worked AWESOME! Use to keep it next to my seat in my truck but after cleaning a hog one last time I forgot it outside and I guess an Animal dragged my knife off. Needless to say I miss it dearly. BUDK PLEASE BRING BACK THIS BEAUTIFUL KNIVES!!

Excellent Value
Good length on the blade with plenty of handle to grip it with. Nice heft, balance and feel to the knife itself. Though it is not full tang, it feels sturdy and capable. The sheath is hard molded plastic with that familiar positive click to it when you sink the blade all the way in. You know what I mean. There is also a generous nylon belt loop with both Velcro and snap closures. The included lanyard can be looped through the sheath by means of slots or holes to your pack, pants belt, utility belt, leg or arm. With only a little ingenuity a shoulder carry position could be constructed with the right straps. Also on the sheath is a nice stretch rubber keeper which fits over the pommel. You would have to be very careless to lose this knife if it's secured correctly with all of these built-in precautions. Out of the box it can use a pass or two over a stone to bring it to a fine sharp edge, but the original edge on the ones I bought were really not that bad. I doubt you will be disappointed in this one, especially for less that 10 bucks.

bigger and better than i expected!
When i got these knives i was surprised at how big they were! And they seem VERY sturdy! "Seem" sturdy. I haven't really tested them too much since i just got them but i cant find a single thing wrong with them! Other than one of them had a strong pickle smell to it haha and it had a little tiny nic in the blade but nothing a little sharpening cant fix. Theu werent the sharpest out of the box but they werent dill either. The teeth on them were razor sharp however. THIS IS A GREAT KNIFE. JUST GO FOR IT! YOU WONT REGRET IT!. . . unless you drop it on your toes . . then you may regret it a little haha

"So great, I bought two more"
This knife is great. It was sturdier than I thought it would be weekend I bought it. It is well balance as well. Blade is Shattuck and holds a great edge. The sheath is great as well. The ABS sheath is solid and the leg strap is helpful. You can also sloop your belt through loop or it can be snapped appointment your belt. I lived it so Miuccia i went and bought two more to save as gifts for my family and friends.

Great knife
I had gotten this knife today, and the only thing I can say about this is that it is AWESOME, works great too. Could be a pretty good combat knife too. Kind of reminds me of the knife off of Turok.

another solid offering from budk
I got two of these survival knifes. sharp right out of the box. the sheath is hard a.b.s and works well. the knife fit snug and is secure. this knife will take and hold a razor sharp edge. it sales through small game like butter. i cleaned and dressed 6 rabbits with ease. this knife is almost as good as my 90.00 kbar. this is a solid well made knife and an excellent value . budk offers a great knife at an unbeatable price .

Vietnam Style Knife
Not a bad knife, the sheath is noisy so I replaced it with a leather one. I switch back to the plastic sheath for water adventure, I even took it scuba diving many times so far with the plastic sheath. Overall a good proven design. A decent cheap copy of the Maring KaBar 2nd generation which I also own, but for the price, I love this knife.

Well Made knife for the price
I have been very pleased with this knife! I wasn't sure what type quality I could get for this price, but I was not disappointed!!Super sharp when I pulled it out of its sheath. Sturdy handle that's just right for gripping. Cut the meat off of my deer so smoothly.

Good knifes for the money.
I bought this Vietnam War Serrated Bowie Knife & the tanto version. I feel the pair are worth $20. I now have both blade types for any situation in my tool bags. Good knifes for the money.

Good buy on a decent fun knife
Was a little surprised at how thin the blade was relative to other knives of this style. The diesel smell of the handle others have reported, is similar to smell of most discount Chi-wan tool products we see know days, It really is not a problem for me. Is this a knife like a Camillus, Ontario, Kbar, Schrade, Cold Steel, or Randall? No. Is it a knife that, with common sense and some care, can perform well on a budget? Yes! It's really a decent knife to keep for knocking around when you don't want to beat up your good lifesaving SHTF blades. I think for the price, its a great deal. Impressed with certain details of this package for the money. Hey for the price, if ya' like it, and can use it, buy it. I am very pleased with it so far, and plan to buy again from BudK!

vietnam drop point survival knife
good sharp knife, handle is a little pungent but my sheath is solid and tight with rubber ring to hold handle, can be worn upside down on tac vest, etc. Blade is thinner then kabar but I didnt get it to use as a crowbar. I've seen the same knife for 2 to 3 times the price at flea markets.

Fighting Knife
When I got this knife it was okay sharpness and was dull gray color. The sheath in pic is incorrect; it looks the same as the one in the pic, but instead it has a rubber hole to hold the knife in the sheath, but it's still good. It does not cut water bottle good and only scratches it. I sharpened it and it was able to cut the water bottle, but only a light cut; thrusting went through smoothly (excellence). This is probably due to my skills at sharpening since I am new to sharpening, but for you guys out there you might be able to get it even sharpener. It's thrusting and serrated edge is excellence. Handle smells like strong rubber but it's not too bad and does not spread throughout the room. It is fully tang with tang showing at the bottom with peck. It is a very light knife and thickness is 2mm aus 6 stainless. The plastic sheath is good and enables fast draw of the knife since it does not stick onto the knife, but if you stick the knife in the opposite direction of the sheath it will lock the knife in holding it kind of tight in sheath w/o rubber hold the knife. The leg strap is a little too short for me. Good for fighting. $12.99 K bar aus 6 stainless steel knife with plastic handle, and sheath..... it's worth it.

Its good for the price point
Overall it's worth the money and should be a good backup knife for outdoor activities. The blade is a little thinner then I like a knife to be and the handle fit and finish are not the best.

Decent, but smells
Great balance, grip and decent metal. The rubberized grip, while nice, reaks of tar. I had it about 10' from me and could TASTE blacktop on a hot day. It makes my hand stink after touching it and I feel a little dizzy. I tried soaking it in hot water and soap and that just made it more pungent. Shame I can barely go near it since it's a great bargain.
